Istao

The Adriano Olivetti Institute was founded in 1967 by Giorgio Fuà on the initiative of the Social Science Research Council of the United States and the A. Olivetti Foundation.
It is one of the oldest Management Schools in Italy and has over the years become a focal point for spreading industrial culture and the phiposophy of entrepreneurship.
The Institute benefits from the institutional participation of the Bank of Italy, ABI (The Italian Banking Association), Banca Marche, the Italian Confederation of Industry, the Marche Regional Government and the University at Ancona. It is also supported by numerous companies, banks and foundations in addition to the collaboration of the Steering Commitee consisting of university teachers and other personalities from the spheres of economics and culture.
Giorgio Fuā (1967-1997) and Sabino Cassese (1997-2000), the Current Honorary Chairman, have both chaired Istao. The presente Chairman is Paolo Pettenati (Marche University at Ancona).
